Answering the latest customer questions

1Tell me, what is a typical day like for someone who can't walk at all?
Every day begins with care and attention. Our caregivers help them wash, groom, and change their linens. We always turn our residents over, treat their skin to prevent bedsores, and spoon-feed them delicious and nutritious food. But most importantly, we never leave them alone. There's always a moment to talk, look out the window at the birds, or read a book. We try to fill the day with small but joyful moments.
2My father has a wheelchair, will he be able to move around on his own with you?
Of course he can. We've designed our home specifically for this purpose: it's comfortable and safe. There are no high thresholds, and the wide hallways and doorways allow easy access in a wheelchair. The toilet and shower have special grab bars. We want your father to feel more like a valued guest than a patient, free to choose where to go—to the dining room, the garden, or the living room to watch TV.
3But what if a person needs not just nurses, but constant medical care?
We understand this perfectly. That's why at "Istok Zhizni" there's always a nurse on hand who can administer IVs, change dressings, and measure blood pressure and sugar levels. She also ensures that all medications are taken on time. And if a situation requires medical attention, we'll call a trusted specialist from Tbilisi or escort the patient to a reputable clinic. You can rest assured: our residents' health is constantly monitored.
4My brother has become less social due to his illness. What will he do?
We know how important it is to find something to do that interests you. We don't force you, but rather gently suggest: maybe sit in the garden and feed the birds, listen to Georgian music, do a puzzle, or simply chat over a cup of tea with other residents. We have a small, homey boarding house where everyone knows each other. There's no room for loneliness here. Gradually, in this atmosphere, many people begin to reconnect with the world around them.
5How do you solve the nutrition issue if a person has, for example, problems with chewing?
Our kitchen is a source of pride. We cook as if we were cooking for our own family: delicious, healthy, and always using fresh ingredients. If someone has difficulty chewing, we can easily prepare a pureed soup, tender porridge, steamed cutlets, or a vitamin cocktail. Whether you have diabetes, heart problems, or stomach issues, our chef will always take your doctor's recommendations into account and prepare exactly what's right for you.
6How is your private boarding house better than a large state one?
First of all, the atmosphere. We're not a government institution, but a large family home. We only have a few residents, and we know each one's story and character. There are no lines for treatment rooms or impersonal wards. Each has its own room, decorated with personal belongings, and a communal table where everyone gathers like one big family. And the attitude is appropriate—not formal, but heartfelt and human. We care for our residents the way we would want our own parents cared for.
7We don't live in Tbilisi. How can we arrange for my mother to live with you?
Let's just talk on the phone to start. Tell us about your mother's condition, her habits, her likes and dislikes. We'll answer all your questions. If possible, come visit us, see everything for yourself, and get to know us in person. This is the most important step. Once you've made your decision, we'll help you gather the necessary documents and arrange a comfortable welcome for your mother in her new home. We're always available and ready to support you during this challenging time.
